In the Cargill Três Lagoas hopper, we installed Mechanical DustControl to optimize a pre-existing filter, which alone was not enough to do the job. Instead of the filter sucking air over the grate, it was redirected to create negative pressure inside the hopper, capturing dust in and above the hopper in conjunction with DustControl.
The unloading of bulk products from trucks, railcars, barges, ships, or warehouses is fraught with health, safety, and environmental concerns. Dust emissions at bulk unloading terminals can cause respiratory problems for employees, create workplace hazards, spread a potentially explosive atmosphere, and contaminate local waterways and surrounding areas. DustControl manufactured by Wings is the most economical system to control dust emission in these receiving pits.
