CARAMURU ALIMENTOS – SANTANA (AP) | MOEGA ELEVADA DUSTCONTROL MECÂNICO INSTALAÇÃO 2019

In the northern-most port of Brazil, in a low populated region, Caramuru is investing in the environment and the well-being of its employees and neighbors. The DustControl was installed in this elevated hopper that receives grains arriving via barges from the interior of Brazil. The grain is unloaded by a 10-ton grab before being loaded on to ocean-going ships.

CARAMURU’S ELEVATED HOPPER ON THE AMAZON RIVER USES WINGS DUSTCONTROL

During the unloading process of bulk products such as corn, soybeans, wheat and fertilizers, large quantities of dust are spewed into the atmosphere. This causes pollution that can create problems with the EPA, the employees and the neighbors. The Wings DustControl is engineered to reduce dust emission from receiving pits and resolve pollution problems.

The DustControl is superior to a baffle system for suppressing dust in bulk-product receiving pits. It has been on the market for over 20 years, with more than 250 units installed in Brazil and abroad, and tops the list of equipment in terms of the cost-benefit ratio. The DustControl system is installed under the pit grate and does not take up space on the pit’s surface. It is completely automatic and does not use electrical energy, and, it is maintenance-free. The DustControl system is composed of modules that cover the entire surface area below the pit grate. The modules have small chutes that regulate the flow of the product into the pit to maintain the modules with enough product to filter the exiting dust-laden air. The DustControl controls the dust emission without slowing the unloading process. That is why Caramuru installed the Wings DustControl in its elevated hopper in the Port of Santana, Brazil!
